Our project goal was divided into five steps to accomplish our "dynamic gel movement", as we wrote in the “Idea/Our goal of this project” section; 1. Make a hydrogel, 2. Make the gel swell, 3. Make the gel shrink, 4. Make a spider-web shaped gel, and 5. Make the spider-web shaped gel swell and shrink.
First of all, we were able to make a DNA hydrogel with X-motif (Ex. 1). Second, we achieved making the gel expand (Ex.3). After confirming swelling, we succeeded in showing swelling and shrinking movement (Ex.4). However, it is questionable that we were able to make a spider-web shaped gel by using the microdevice we made (Ex.2-2). Further experiments are needed to make a spider-web shaped gel after we modify the device.  We have not conducted experiments which would suggest that we succeeded in making the spider-web gel swell and shrink, and the same microdevice cannot be used to make the gel.
In conclusion, we were able to accomplish the third step of what we aimed at!
